SRS is like a friendly reminder that pops up just before you forget that one Kanji you learned last week. It’s like your brain’s personal trainer, keeping those characters fresh and ready for action, without making you feel like you're cramming for an exam!
Think of Kanji as little puzzle pieces that fit into real words! When you learn them in context, it’s like finding the missing piece to complete the picture. Plus, it sticks in your brain better when you know how to use it in daily life, like ordering sushi or reading cool manga!
Writing Kanji is like doodling with purpose! Each stroke gets you closer to mastering the character, and before you know it, you’ll be sketching Kanji like a pro. It’s the perfect way to boost your memory and show off your fancy writing skills!

I’m an English and Japanese teacher in Japan (I’m Filipino) so I have to learn & improve my Japanese skills frequently. I’ve been using this app for almost 2 years and it has been my primary tool to learn Japanese. I also recommend it to my students. They always forget Kanji and Japanese words after learning. The app helps us to review words at Golden Time - the best time to review. Also, the writing session is very helpful, it teaches you to write Kanji with stroke orders to boost your Kanji memorization.

Good app but you have to learn the Japanese alphabet first (Hiragana and Katakana). I like that it sets the times for review for you so that you don’t need to think about it. When learning Japanese, you should be committed to reviewing hundreds of words and Kanji a day. I also like the conversation courses a lot because it improves my speaking & listening skills. I practice one conversation a day and feel like I practice with a lovely Japanese friend. If you can’t go to Japan to practice Japanese every day, MochiKanji is for you!

I have used many apps to learn, especially kanji and vocabulary. But this app does it all - pronunciation, sentence examples, and writing. And when it tests you, it mixes up the forms of learning to challenge you. It's also so rewarding to use! I remembered a lot of Kanji N5-N3 after 6 months. Also, this spaced repetition app is more visually appealing (less boring) than others. If you like Japanese kawaii culture you’ll love this.

Overall, I've really enjoyed this app. It's been really helpful with spaced repetition and remembering materials for the JLPT N4. I've used it every day for close to 3 months. The design is adorable and I do like the way it's all laid out. With its new updates regularly, MochiKanji has become the best Japanese learning site to learn Kanji and Japanese words I think there is. It is totally worth the money to learn quickly.

I started learning Japanese 1 year ago for fun so I don’t want to learn through textbooks or sth like that. Then I found MochiKanji app. It is amazing at what it does and it’s cute and fun, it also doesn’t make you feel bad for your mistakes. It urges you to learn from them. I’m currently on a 1-year plan, but I’m planning on extending it later on. Highly recommend it for those who want to learn basic Japanese like phrases, and words for daily conversations without stress!
